Extra thick and durable mat
I absolutely love my new mat, it is perfect for pilates, yoga, or a nice little stretch. This mat has the perfect thickness to it, it is comfortable, non-slip, and the size is just perfect for my workout routines. As a fitness trainer it is important to work on a mat that provides good support and stability for your joints. Another amazing aspect of this mat is the size, it is rare to find a good quality mat that also provides the right size for a routine. This mat gives you all you need, size, comfort, stability, and durability. I have been able to use different mats from ActiveGear and I can assure you, it is worth every penny. Perfect size for home and on the go!
ActiveGear truly makes high quality stuff and this yoga mat is no different. Even down to the packaging… it is top of the line! Once I rolled it out I realized it’s the perfect intermediate size for the living room or to bring along camping. Not too heavy or bulky when rolled up and easy to fit in the back seat or a trunk or even a tent. The texture is grippy by not aggressive. It can confidently be used with socks, shoes, or barefoot. The surface seems durable enough for years of moderate use and travel. The level of padding is perfect for stretching, yoga, or using for basic strength training. It might be slightly too small for two people to use at the same time unless you’re back to back. It would be worth it to buy a second in that case ;). The storage bag it comes in makes for easy and neat storage. As with other ActiveGear products, they really thought out the peripheral details. Roll up the mat and it fits *easily* into the bag. No shoving or fighting the bag :). The material of the bag is durable and shows no risk of tearing or fraying. The included high quality HUGE towel was a nice touch. And even the towel fits back into the bag without struggle. The velcro straps aren’t necessary but make for an extra touch of quality from ActiveGear.

The Best Yoga Mat!
I have been using the Active Gear Extra Large Yoga Mat for several days not and I have to say that I am in LOVE with it. It is very large and has excellent cushioning, combined with a fantastic grip! Without a doubt one of the best mats I’ve ever used! The weight and stability make me feel more rooted and powerful throughout my practice. The corners lie flat and don’t flip up. My form is better because of the support. My old mat was great, but waaaay too small and not nearly as stable. Couldn’t be happier to have this as my new home practice mat. I also love that it comes with a carry case, velcro strapping to keep it together and a gray yoga towel that is microfiber and is so soft! I now can even use my mat outside! I have to say that I couldn’t be happier with this yoga mat and I may ship one to my Mom, since she is looking to get in shape as well. I would recommend this mat for both experienced yogi’s and beginners combined.

Great huge mat
I bought this large size for doing dance videos. Hardwood floor is tough on my bare feet otherwise. I’m 95% thrilled with the quality, color, & reasonable price. Also pleased it is not at all slippery, good foot grip, no smell. Underside grips the floor & does not move at all. Well constructed 2-layer memory foam textured top side. All worthwhile qualities! Only drawback is it seems to occasionally lose small chips as I dance on it. The chips on the backside were already there when I first unpacked it. (See pics). Maybe that would happen less if I only used it for yoga. Maybe not. I have yoga mats that do the same thing. This Rolls easily for storage, though quite cumbersome for obvious reasons. Still very happy with it for the price, functionality, & enormous size & lovely color.

Alternative use
I was looking for something for my senior golden to be able to play on and another customer wrote a review they got one for theirs. I am so glad I also got it! Perfect 10/10Highly recommend and great size, and doesn’t move at all when playing on it. Also it is squishy for joint support.

I was amazed how fast it was delivered and packaged so well. Came in a travel bag. The quality is great. It’s thicker and more comfortable than I thought it would be. Came with a medium sized thin blanket. Very impressed with the quality, look and feel of the product. Excellent customer service also. Definitely recommend.

I am a larger person and wanted a mat I could leave stationary and feel comfortable doing yoga on. It is perfect. I have a condition that makes balance sometimes difficult and I never feel like I will end up off the mat. love the thickness and is the perfect size for what I needed.

I did a lot or researching, browsing, and some buying before finding and buying a set of 11 of these for my yoga studio. The colour is gorgeous… doesn’t show every bit of dust like my black or dark blue/green mat I have from other brands. The 6×6 size is perfect for partner’s yoga and for aerial yoga, where you move around quite a bit in all directions from where the hammock hangs.I was actually pretty devastated when I first got them – they were, to my delight, actually more dense and cushy than another large mat I got made of the same material, BUT they were much more slippery than any of my mats – I couldn’t believe how easily my hands slipped in down dog. Luckily, I did some research and found out that there is a thin layer of film they put on the exterior of yoga mats of this material so that they don’t stick to themselves in the processing and shipment of them. I washed it really well with a cleaning concoction of 50/50 blue dawn soap and vinegar, whisked together, then microwaved for 3 min (for about 2 or 3 cups of solution). I’m hoping just vinegar will work for the rest, as removing the suds was quite the process. I’ve also read that giving it a salt scrub can also remove the film. Apparently it will naturally become more grippy with wear, but with a studio, I couldn’t wait for that. After cleaning it well and letting it thoroughly dry, it is nice and grippy! 🙂I am so extremely pleased with my purchases, and my experience with customer service was very positive. Definitely recommend this brand/company and this beautiful wonderful mat 😍

I like it. I am 5 feet 4. I can do splits on the width length of this yoga matt. It is perfect! I used it for my whole basement studio. It is very very large and good quality. In my opinion, better than the smaller size Cambivo yoga matt which i have purchased w tax around 107 dollars. It was thin. It look more pretty with the softer pink. So i decided to keep it in my masterbedroom on top of the white carpet. If not. It is very painful if you do yoga on the floor with Cambivo yoga matt although i do like the size too but not as doubly large as this matt. This matt is very comfortable.
