Good cork block.
I’ve cut mine into sections to use as sanding blocks for woodworking. It works great for this.

Nice weight and supportive for larger bodies
This is a very sturdy block! Its a bit larger than the usual yoga blocks, so I’ll be purchasing another to complete my practice. I’m clumsy and these havent let me fall yet! Even with just one, I’ve been able to practice more poses than without, so if you can only afford one, its worth it! I havent needed to clean it, so I cant speak on that, but being a sweaty person, it doesnt smell salty or feel gross when wet. It feels sturdy and smooth, unlike some of the foam options, which is why I was eager to try it. All in all, I’m very satisfied with this, and the weight of it makes it more supportive than I’m used to, which is another plus!

The size is less thick than the typical block…
First, I’d like to talk about the size.I had not checked the measurements given so I was surprised that this block is thinner than the blocks that are typically used in yoga studios and that I have purchased in the past. But that’s on me. (The other two measurements of the block are ‘standard’ thickness.)So, even though I was a little disappointed at first, I came around to a couple of benefits of this narrower size. One, it’s not so bulky. It takes up less space and it’s easier to just pick up and manoeuver around. Next, I sometimes need a block for some seated postures and this a great height for that–for me. The thick blocks are just higher than I need and make me feel like I’m perched too high, so less stable.Another advantage is sometimes you need to stack blocks to get just the right height for something, so this provides another possibility as far as gradation of height.A disadvantage of this size is that there is a bigger jump in height when you go from the medium height to the tallest height, compared to if you were using a thicker block. If you are doing a restorative pose and ramping up the height for more intensity, you’ll notice a bigger difference when you go from medium to tallest height. And maybe another disadvantage is that if you are using the block stood up on end for a balancing pose like half-moon pose, the block will feel more prone to rock slightly than if it was a thicker block. Also, in a supported backbend or any other pose where you have your body laying across the block, the block will feel more prone to wobble on the medium or tallest height. Now onto other things:I ordered this because I’ve used cork blocks before, and I love them. This one is as good as quality of a cork block as you will find, as far as the quality and build, so I’ll just go over some pros and cons for someone that hasn’t used them before:They give you a more held and secure feeling when you are relying on them for balance, or anything, really. There are a very few foam blocks that start to approach this solidity, but most are squishy and so they might rock or wobble a little if you are resting your weight on them. Not cork. And, believe me, for some of the precarious balance poses you will appreciate this solidity. Even just for sitting on the block, it’s nice to not be on something squishy. (But, keep in mind the size issue. A thick foam block that is one of the harder ones could offer more stability than this cork block.)Next, they aren’t so hard as a wood block, but they are firm, so for the kind of restorative poses–for example laying down on the block–where the goal is to have the block encourage a softening of the muscles, there is an advantage to having a firm suface that will apply pressure to the musculature. Why might someone not like cork?Well, they are heavier. So they are somewhat more of a challenge just to pick up and move around for some people. They would also be heavier in your bag if you bring your own props to a class. Some people just don’t like that they are firmer because they want a softer surface against their hands. Or maybe they don’t want the block pushing in to the musculature.I’m giving this four stars just because I happen to prefer thicker blocks for most applications. The sellers were very upfront about the size, so I’m not taking off the star regarding their description..

Yoga poses just got easier
There’s a lot to love about this yoga block. I love the feel of the cork and I’m glad that’s it’s a quality source. It’s very sturdy and easy to use. It’s heavier than the foam kind but so much more sturdy.

Premium Cork Yoga Block – Sturdy, Dense, and Excellent Quality
This cork yoga block is absolutely fantastic! It’s super dense, heavy, and extremely sturdy—definitely one of the best-quality blocks I’ve owned after trying many over the years. Made from 100% cork, it’s really well crafted and feels premium. I’m extremely happy with it and would absolutely recommend—it’s worth every penny.

Great!
This is a lovely cork yoga block. It’s extremely sturdy, has a great texture to it, and it looks really nice. From what I’ve seen, the $19 price when I ordered seems standard for a cork yoga block. It’s heavy (compared to foam ones) and my weight (over 240lbs) doesn’t deform it so far.My only complaint is that mine came with a small amount of damage, but I won’t knock a star off from that. It happens with use anyway, so the way I see it, it has removed the “it’s too perfect to use” feeling and I have no issue tossing it around. If it gets damaged more with use, oh well! That’s what it’s for – to use.My mom has borrowed it to take to her yoga class because they only have foam ones, and she’s been enjoying it a lot too.

can leave debris from use
it’s a solid piece of cork, not too much I can say. It’s the same size as any other yoga block so no surprises there. One thing I do notice is that it does break apart faster. I’ve had some of the cork grated off by some rough surfaces. So I guess the pro and the con is that it’s made of cork.
