With insulated layers of heat, full of speed and traction and equipped with GORE-TEX it’s the trail shoe nature fears most that helps keep the elements out forever. Product information: On the top of the tongue there is an inscription of one of the gnarled serpentines of the path leading down to the canyon. The insoles feature some of the South Kaibab’s most memorable path markings and the ubiquitous mules. Look out for top graphics reminiscent of the spiny plants of the desert. The purple splashes of colour speak of the super bright cacti along the way. The waterproof Gore-Tex upper and 3D print toe cap keep water away, keeping your feet dry. The ReactX foam midsole and the Air Zoom element in the forefoot area provide light energy return. The Nike Trail ATC outsole is made from an all-terrain blend that is great even in wet weather. The durable, high ankle cuff prevents dirt and debris from entering the shoe. What’s new? The all-new ReactX foam midsole is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. Designed with performance and environmental protection in mind, ReactX foam is designed to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles as less energy is used in the manufacturing process compared to the previous React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on one of PRé Sustainability B.V. and Intertek China reviewed cradle to gate rating. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations have not been considered.
