A True Walker’s Delight
I love walking. After suffering a foot contusion from using my regular Saucony Wide width I stopped walking for quite a while hoping the pain would go away. My doctor recommended these New Balance and the XW sizing was perfect. I’m back walking and these new walking shoes are so lightwight and comfortable that you feel like you’re walking on air.

Expected new, got semi-new.
I bought this product, expecting a new-in-the-box pair of shoes. The shoes were delivered in unoriginal packaging, with minimal protection, and one of the shoelaces was broken, along with the original tags missing. They were also dirty. I don’t blame New Balance for this issue, but I would be wary of Amazon sending out used products instead of brand-new items. I’ve heard of this happening to others, but didn’t think it would ever happen to me.Otherwise, the shoes fit fine; I wanted something of good quality that would help me stay on my feet all day, and these appear to be able to do just that. I rely on my shoes to last quite a while – I can update later to see if these are up to the task. Even if the shoelaces weren’t damaged, I’d recommend a replacement anyway – I usually replace my shoelaces with different ones, anyway.

Runs Short and Narrow
In my opinion, these run short and narrow. I normally wear 8.5 wide, they were a bit snug and my toes touched the front of the shoe. I returned them for a 9 wide. These fit better, and I’m keeping them because they are basically comfortable and provide good support needed for a walking shoe. If you have a wide foot like mine – I’d suggest going XWide (if they have your size) and size up by half a size in length. This is a good solid shoe, but only giving 3 stars because it is not true to size.

Great support and fit
These shoes are fabulous! Great foot support. True to size. Great style. I was walking in an older model of NB and the difference is huge. I can walk with no odd aches and pains popping up. Definitely a great value!

Choice of widths
Love the color, fit and comfort.Not sure of the width sizing since there is no width chart. I ordered my usual size 8 in 3 different widths.My feet are 9.75” long and size 8 fits fine in length.My feet are 3.875” wide, with a 9.5” circumference at widest point, with a standard ankle sock.The standard width was too tight, the wide width fits perfectly. My order for the extra wide width was mistakenly sent as a wide width, yet I didn’t need it.I replaced the insoles, as my podiatrist prescribed Powerstep insoles with MET, full length, and these sneakers fit fine with these insoles.
