Not as wide as expected
New Balance usually run a little wider but I ordered wide and expected them to be a lot wider and they weren’t. They’re very comfortable otherwise but to play pickleball I need wider than what they are

Nice shoes
I’ve played in these for a few months now and they have wheels up nicely. Comfortable and good fit. Wish I could say that my game improved exponentially, but my comfort while playing has definitely improved.

Fake shoes
Received the shoes which arrived in a plain brown shoe box which seemed off. Scanned the QR code on the inside the shoe tongue to find out these were counterfeit. The code did scan on either shoe which the manufacturer recommends to show authenticity.Buyer beware.

Smaller in size and hard on feet/toes
This particular model is very hard on the feet and toes for two reasons:1. The shoe is a bit too rigid: not as flexible as other models. It is hard on the feet overall and not as feet friendly as 696 V6.2. The size is slightly smaller than a regular 7.5, with the hard feel and slightly tightness of the size, my toes are hurting.Usually New Balance shoes do not need a break-in period, but this particular model 796V4 does, to my disappointment. New Balance tennis shoes have been the most feet friendly based on my experience for the past 4-5 years. Not this model 🥲🥲🥲
