Has all the metrics I need for marathon training and is super light. I moved to this after triathlon training with the Fenix 5S and love the size, functions, and bang for the buck compared to other Garmin and name brand GPS watches.

Great watch! Exactly as expected! Refurbished but looks brand new! HR is accurate, charges quickly, battery lasts about a week with day and night use. I get notifications from my phone but can’t respond which is fine since I prefer my phone. I enjoy it very much! Highly recommend, thanks!

I’ve been extremely happy with the Garmin Forerunner 255. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear all day, even while sleeping. The smaller size is perfect without sacrificing features, and the display is bright and easy to read in all lighting conditions.The fitness and health tracking are spot on—accurate GPS, reliable heart rate monitoring, great sleep tracking, and helpful daily metrics that actually motivate me to stay consistent. Defective GPS for the unit I received
These “refurbished” watches are more risky. There is no free lunch. The one I got has defective GPS chips. Whether using “GPS only” or “All band”, the track is all over the neighborhood. The watch size is perfect and weight is so light, but I will hang on to my old 945 LTE a bit longer.

Almost sent it back
I bought the product because of its long battery life but almost returned it because of how dim the watch face was. It wasn’t until I downloaded the manual and read it that I found out where I could turn up the illumination of the screen. After that and brightened things up so far so good. They need to do better for people who have weaker eyes like myself on that. Another reason I bought this is because I have a prior version of a Forerunner but where the plastic holds the screws for band broke making it unwearable.
