Comfort and lots of cushioning and cheaper than an ER visit
A while ago I ended up in the ER with excruciating leg pain that was thought to be deep-vein thrombosis. It turned out to be a Baker’s Cyst that was badly aggravated because of poorly-fitting sneakers. I had to spend about two months in physical therapy to recover from the injury. Ever since that experience, I have been very careful about which types of shoes I wear. This is my second pair of Brooks Glycerin because they are very comfortable and cushiony. Also as they wear out they do not put the type of pressure on my knee the way the bad pair of sneakers did. These are more expensive, but they are still cheaper than the ER and physical therapy bills, so I treat them as an investment in my health and fitness. I highly recommend.

Great walking shoe
Walking is great exercise, but only when your feet don’t hurt! I’ve tried several brands over the last six months or so and I think I’ve found my shoe. It’s slightly wider than I need so I’ll probably order a narrow next time, but I have to say it’s great to finish a three mile walk and NOT tell my husband that my feet are killing me😊

Blisters
I’m giving 2 stars because the shoes look nice and seem well made.They are not working for me though. I bought them because I started a job working on concrete floors and several people recommended this brand. I hated spending so much but I was desperate because of the pain.The first day I wore them I thought that maybe the pain was a little better (I think I was trying to convinced myself). The second day I wore them the pain was intense. I got home and realized that I had blisters all over the side of my heel. The insoles in these shoes stick up a little on the sides and I guess it’s rubbing.Today I’m trying to add insoles to see if it covers the shoe’s insole enough to prevent it. I’m in a lot of pain though and working 10 hours a day on my feet. Very disappointed that I spent so much on a shoe that’s giving me blisters.*Edit* I eventually came back to this review and added a couple more stars. The blister problem resolved itself and the shoes aren’t too bad. They definitely aren’t miracle workers but out of the 4 or 5 pairs of shoes I bought after starting this concrete floor job, these are probably my favorite. My feet still hurt like hell but the shoes do their best.

Podiatrist recommended
My podiatrist recommended these because I have bone spurs, arthritis and neuropathy my feet. It often hurts me to walk. These are wonderful. I’m saving up to buy another pair. He was right and he said they would last a lot longer than other gel filled shoes.

Running support
I broke my ankle many years ago, and although it healed, it is still weaker than my other ankle. These shoes give the best support I’ve come across for running, reducing most of the compensation effects needed to balance the ankle from my other joints. Brought enjoyment back to weekend runs
