Great for softball pitching lessons
Got these for my daughter for softball pitching lessons, she was wearing out the tops of regular tennis shoes, these work well!

Tight on the foot
These are tighter than other shoes I think due to the captured tongue. It is not a separate piece from the shoe so it is a more snug fit overall. This helps with control while running but it’s not super comfortable. I love the sole being a different translucent color, it’s a very appealing compliment to the black and white. Overall it’s a so so, on the fence shoe. Looks great but not terribly comfortable.

A high performance shoe for the field
I have been testing out the Adidas Adizero Instinct 2.0 Turf Trainers, and they are a fantastic piece of equipment if you are using them for their intended purpose. As a Vine Voice who often looks for athletic gear, I was impressed by the sleek design and the immediate feeling of stability these shoes offer. The presentation out of the box is exactly what you expect from Adidas.I want to make a very specific distinction for anyone looking at these. Please keep in mind that Adidas made these shoes specifically for softball. They are turf trainers, and they should not be confused with standard walking or running shoes. I have seen folks buy turf shoes expecting a cushy, flexible cloud to walk the dog in, and that is simply not what these are. The sole is stiffer to provide torque for batting, and the tread is aggressive to grip artificial grass and dirt. If you try to wear these for a long run on pavement, your feet will likely be unhappy because they lack the squishy foam rebound of an Ultraboost or a standard runner. However, for their actual job, they are brilliant. The traction is incredible. I tried them out doing some lateral agility drills and batting practice, and the grip was secure with zero slippage. The “Adizero” label usually implies a lightweight build, and these hold true to that legacy. They feel fast and light on the foot, which is crucial when you are reacting to a ground ball or sprinting between bases. The upper material feels durable and easy to wipe clean, which is a big plus after a dusty day on the field. As for the fit, they offer a very locked-in feel. I found them to be true to size, but like many performance cleats or trainers, they fit snugly to prevent your foot from sliding around inside the shoe during explosive movements. The ankle support is decent without being restrictive. In terms of value, these are a solid investment for a serious player. They bridge the gap perfectly between comfortable sneakers and metal cleats. You can wear them in the batting cage, during pre-game warmups, or on turf fields where metal spikes aren’t allowed. Just remember to keep them on the field, and they will serve you well.

Hard Plastic
Based on other reviews, I sized up. The shoe was still difficult to get on. The insole is comfortable and seems like it would provide great support, but the vamps and quarters feel like hard plastic. Not comfortable at all. Will be returning.

Comfortable and true to size
The Good:-Excellent grip sole-Weather resistant coating (helps with mud/dirt/water)-Comfortable-True to size-Multiple color optionsThe OK:-Not cleated (easier to walk in but provide less grip)The Bad:-NothingIf you’re looking for a comfortable lower priced softball shoe these are definitely worth considering. Sole has good grip despite not being cleated and upper coating provides excellent element resistance. Available in multiple colors to match various uniforms or even regular clothing. Top is soft and lower which adds to the comfort of the shoe but sinches tightly enough to keep dirt out well. Size seems correct and doesn’t require up or down sizing. Overall, these are an excellent bargain softball shoe that would probably last a season for most recreational players.

Sturdy & Well Made
These are a really high quality, sturdy shoe. It would be hard to roll an ankle in them, as they offer good ankle support. As someone in between sizes (I can be a 9.5, and I can be a 10 depending on brand) I should have ordered a 10. I made the mistake of getting a 9.5. They would have fit perfectly had I gone with 10, so if between sizes, I suggest going up for perfect fit. The color and style is super attractive. The tread on the sole grips well to the floor and is comfortable to walk/run in. Again, if between sizes, for the perfect fit go up that half size if unsure.
